Casa do Moleiro

Casa do Moleiro is a truly charming place, located in an area of unique beauty. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and spotless, with antique furniture full of character, an excellent shower, and a super cozy bed. The view from the window is simply dreamlike. The breakfast area feels like a family home, with a stunning view and exceptional care from the hosts, who are attentive to every little detail. They share stories with warmth and a personal touch, as if you were visiting close relatives. Every corner of the house has something special. While the quality of the accommodation is top-notch, what stood out the most for me was the heartfelt hospitality. I felt more like an old friend than a guest. And I don’t say this lightly—out of all my trips and stays, this was by far one of the most memorable. This one-of-a-kind guesthouse, set on the lush green slopes of the Bestança River valley, and its wonderful hosts, are a true example of the best you can find while traveling the world.

Loved this 300 year old home! It was beautiful inside and out. The authentic original stone walls and the gardens were picture perfect with many flowers and citrus trees.

Wow! What didn’t I like? Nothing! If you are looking for an authentic local home in the mountains of Portugul, this is the perfect place for you.

The location and the buildings are simply stunning. Maria, our host quite exceptional - her pre visit communication, her suggestions for trips, her cakes and soups! Obliging and very kind. One leaves as a friend. ,

The weather could have been better!

Very nice place to stay! Very authentic and relaxing. Walk to the ricer was good fun, not easy walk but is it worth it.

Breakfast could be organised smoother. Need to wait for a food most of the time.

The casa was a traditional house high up on the hill with spectacular views and a lush garden. Everything was made with lots of love by the hosts.
