Zorgvliet Wines Country Lodge

Very beautiful property with spectacular views. Complimentary wine tasting is a nice touch. Breakfast is simply amazing either way fresh local produce and good option.

We stayed in family unit though the rooms are quite spacious and nicely decorated the sanitary installations are very outdated. We signaled that the drain in the shower was clogged and after 5 mins of the shower the water is overspill on the floor but nobody seemed to care. Flush in the toilet doesn’t work properly either . AC is very old and not working properly .

Friendly and helpful staff. The food was varied and good value. Excellent location.

Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The buildings and gardens are well kept. A lot of improvements have been made and it is lovely to see that they are striving to improve the property! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We felt very welcome from the moment we entered until we left. Rooms are spacious and neat. There is a lot to do around the property - a complementary wine tasting; padel courts; a bistro; picnic area; newly revamped swimming pool and various routes to take a stroll on. The breakfast was very tasty as well.

The location of the property and restaurant were good.

Our room (suite 10) did not have power from 10pm to 7am during the night of our stay. The in-room phone subsequently did not work, and I could not reach the front desk when phoning from my cellphone. This meant that we had no lights, AC or power in our room to charge our devices before our flight back to the US. I went to the front desk the next morning and I was asked whether I inspected the invertor box in the room. I did during the night but there was no power. Five minutes after I visited the front desk, the power went on which tells me this was a system issue on the property's side. I was not offered any compensation for this unacceptable experience.
