El Retiro de Isabel

A lovely place to stay in a quiet little village in the countryside. Antonio and Isabel were delightful - just wish we had a little more Spanish so we could have talked more. We were in the attic room, and had the whole place to ourselves for our overnight stay. We enjoyed some time up on the roof terrace after we arrived, watching the local bird population fly by. We had bought our own food for dinner, and were left a good breakfast to help ourselves to, so having the kitchen to use was perfect for us. The bed was nice and comfortable and we slept well. As others have said, the house is lovely and quirky - Isabel is an artist, and we loved all the little touches including the mural on the wall of our bedroom. We would be happy to stay here again. Antonio and Isabel even gifted the leftover fruit from breakfast to us, and recommended a scenic route back to the motorway. It was a fabulous road that followed the river valley and well worth taking! Such a lovely couple.

The only thing that might be a problem if you have any sort of limited mobility is the stairs, which were steep. To be expected for a lovely old townhouse, but worth being aware of.

Un lugar maravilloso. Desconectado de todo. Antonio, el anfitrión, una persona majísima.

Demasiado desconectado. No hay tiendas, ni bares en el pueblo. La carretera de acceso un poco complicada.

La amabilidad y cercanía de Antonio,es un hombre muy majo y agradable con el que conversar.

La ubicación era hermosa, natural y serena. El alojamiento era artístico, auténtico y muy limpio.Los anfitriones fueron maravillosos.
