El Retiro de Isabel

What a truly beautiful, if seriously out of the way, location. Just an old house in an even older town in rural Spain. We booked this place by accident, and were happy we did. Such a peaceful and serene place in a town of 40 people. There isn't even a functioning cafe in this little town; but the views were breathtaking. There is a burbling creek next to the property, lots of cats in the garden to pet, and a barely used winding road for long bike rides or walks. They even had decent Internet access.

The included breakfast is access to a kitchen, a coffee maker, and a bag of supermarket muffins. If you want good coffee or something hardier/fresher, bring it yourself.

Nice remote place to get a glimpse of rural Spanish life. Great hosts , Isabel & Antonio are enchanting.

Stairs

It was very remote and the views of the mountains were incredible. Felt right at home, loved having a kitchen to cook in. Our host was so pleasant!

EVERYTHING! The couple owning the place are one of the nicest people we’ve met. They treated us like family or close friends and helped us with everything. They truly made us feel at home. The house itself is super cozy and beautiful. It was made with love and u can feel it in every meter of the place. We were supposed to stay there for one night but loved it so much we decided to stay for 2. The location is amazing. You have a view at the mountains and loads of beautiful routes for long walks. I think this was one of the best, if not the best booking I’ve ever made.

Bit remote with no shops and nearest town 10 minutes away by car Had to pay by cash as no machine Our old dog had difficulty on steep stairs but I am sure a young dog would have no problems

This is the place to get a peaceful moment. Antonio was very kind he was right outside when we arrived with some pears he just picked from the tree to welcome us. The Retiro has everything you need they shared the fruits and food that we could have at dinner and breakfast. I really recommend to stay here except if you are annoyed by the sound of the train;)

Is a beautiful place with incredible view from the apartment. Antonio and Isabel are awesome! I will return there definitely!

Isabell and Antonio are such kind people, very helpful and friendly. The place is a must for those who need peace. To visit the village it is kind of a trip in the past. Very interesting!
