Finca Oz

Sehr hübsche Anlage und wunderschöne Zimmer. Sicher dass schönste Zimmer auf unserer Reise.

Die Gastgeber könnten unsere Buchung nicht finden. Wir müssten erst lange hin und her telefonieren, bis klar war, das wir wirklich gebucht haben. So fühlt man sich nicht gerade willkommen. Das WiFi ist sehr brüchig und langsam. Die Dusche ist nur lauwarm.

The grounds were beautiful and very unique.

Upon arrival staff had no idea we had reservations but, quickly handled the situation. Beds were uncomfortable and very hard to sleep. Would have been wonderful if they would provide coffee makers but did provide a small fridge.

It’s a beautiful little oasis. The cabins are beautiful and rustic with air conditioning. The areas are green with lots of plant life. The rooms spacious and bathrooms beautiful. When we had issues the kind owner offered us a complementary breakfast.

It’s a little pricy considering the facilities weren’t in function. The internet wasn’t working so we could not surf the net nor watch TV. The jacuzzi didn’t work properly so we couldn’t use it because the heating component was out of work. So we weren’t able to enjoy the pools and jaccuzi because it was cold.

Ants in bathroom, no wifi, not close to place to eat, had to ask for toilet paper, garbage not taken out daily.

The grounds were amazing! The cabanas were very cute and comfortable.

The construction on site was loud and started very early. The door to get into the property was locked and I had no way to contact the staff. I pulled a very heavy iron door aside to get in and then couldn't find anyone. I felt like I was breaking in and wasn't even sure if I was in the right place. The on-site cenote is not lighted nor swimmable.

Finca Oz has lovely gardens, a great pool, and is a good concept for groups travelling together if the main house is accessible. It was conveniently located a few minutes from the center of Homun.

The hotel was not signed, and check-in instructions were not communicated to us before-hand. It was difficult to find. Both the wifi and hot-water were too slow to use, and the lights were out in the bathroom. There is no restaurant and no coffee/tea service. The hotel seemed under-used or in the process of renovation -- construction was still going on in some parts. I don't mind if some of these things are unreliable, but these should be clearly communicated.

Homun is a wonderful town that thrives on the Cenote tourism, but mainly catering to Mexican tourists, espicallit folks from Merida out for weekend escapes and such. As Americans, we were a bit of novelty, but everyone was lovely and patient with our imperfect Spanish. The Finca itself is slightly hard to find; most street numbers are hard to spot from the street, and the outside wall is anonymous. But inside is a beautiful wonderland; it would be a fantastic place for a large family gathering or group of friends traveling together.

We loved everything about Finca Oz, the town of Homun and the State of Yucatan. Americans should be aware that English is not commonly spoken in Homun.

Great staff, very unique facility (our building was hobbit-like). The mini cenote pool and jacuzzi were clean and nice. Located in the small town of Homun. Very quiet.

The building isn't marked, had to ask around to find it.

Very nice garden. Definitely very save place.

The place was kind of neglected, the sheets were dirty, the apartments are unfurnished, there is no table, glasses, etc. Comunication was very hard (we speak only english), there was no comunication from owner side.
