Sandhill House

What a palace! Elaine is a wonderful host. Her attention to detail is beyond compare. Breakfast was amazing. Our room was exquisite. Probably the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed in. Alpacas, donkeys, chickens etc. all made our stay that bit more special. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will definitely be returning, but for a longer stay next time.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem. Set in a beautiful historic manor, surrounded on one side by a peaceful Scottish woodland and on the other by a stunning golf course overlooking the Firth of Clyde, it feels like stepping into a fairytale from the very first moment you arrive. The atmosphere of the hotel is absolutely magical — calm, elegant, and full of character. When I entered my room, I was genuinely impressed by its beauty and, most of all, its size. It was incredibly spacious, bright, beautifully designed, and offered a wonderful view over the golf course. The sense of peace and tranquillity was exceptional. The only occasional sounds were a few planes landing at Prestwick, but they did not affect the experience at all. I would also like to give special praise to the breakfast, which was outstanding. Every morning felt like a carefully prepared culinary experience. In addition to the excellent selection of cereals, muesli, yoghurts, juices, and teas, guests can choose from a selection of freshly prepared scrambled eggs or omelettes made with local eggs. My personal favourite was the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon — absolutely delicious. I also really appreciated the thoughtful approach to breakfast service. Upon arrival, guests are asked to choose their preferred breakfast time, which helps avoid crowds and allows the staff to provide a more personal and attentive experience for everyone. This is an exceptional place that combines nature, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. If I have the opportunity, I would happily return for another weekend getaway. A truly unforgettable stay.

This is a luxurious manor house and everything was to the highest standard. The bedroom was absolutely massive and the bathroom very classy.

Prachtige B&B, mooie zeer ruime kamer, perfect ontbijt en alles naar wens. Oud landhuis met veel historie en authentieke elementen. Zeer aardige gastvrouw. Laten we de mooie lama niet vergeten die in de tuin rondliep. Leuk!
