McLaren Lake View

The property was just passed the Falls and off to the left up hill, over the road was the McLaren Falls Estate with the most fantastic woods, lakes, animal farm, glow worms and a wonderful cafe. The falls allowed for diving if you are brave.

The view, the cleanliness, the hosts.

Lovely comfy bed, owner was so helpful. I know where I'm staying whenever I am in tauranga.

Nothing at all on this trip, normally I would have had more coffee so a larger milk would be good, but had I wanted more, I have no doubt the lovely owner would have got some for me

Hosts were very friendly great park like surroundings with an actual nature park and falls very close which is most definitely a must visit

An oasis

It is evident that the owners put a lot of time, effort and love into their beautiful and well maintained property. Lots of nice small details in the bathroom were well received and appreciated.

- Would have liked some more “local knowledge” on places they would recommend for guests to eat aside from Pizza Hut, Burger van and local cafe that closes before dinner. - Myself and my partner felt that the situation regarding the umbrella that unfortunately broke due to a big gust of wind could have been better approached and handled. We were very happy to discuss how we could amend and replace the broken umbrella, however felt the initial reaction from the owner to be quite blunt and passive aggressive. My partner and I had sent an explanatory message with photos outlining the situation to the owner immediately after it happened, as she had mentioned when we checked in to message her about anything, however she never responded to the text and instead messaged quite accusatory on the booking.com application a few hours later. The remainder of the trip we felt to be quite awkward and uncomfortable, and would suggest perhaps providing some additional signage or supporting guests to be aware of weather warnings that are not apparent on the standard weather applications. - We felt that the use of the spa was quite close to the main living areas of the owners and lacked a bit of privacy.

I loved the view from the place 😍 The house was beautiful and tiny. And the owners were so lovely and welcoming 🥰 I would love to stay here again

The location. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Everything is peaceful. Clean. Beds comfy.

Shared facilities but didnt really mind really was not a big deal. AC can be a good investment.
