Foi fantástico chegar ao final de um dia bastante frio e encontrar a lareira e a salamandra acesa, a reforçar o conforto desta casa de montanha, onde a autenticidade é valorizada. A maior surpresa estava reservada para de manhã, quando foi possível apreciar a belíssima vista do Vale Glaciar do Zêzere, do qual a Casa da Sicó tem um privilegiado enquadramento. A Inês e o Miguel foram excelentes anfitriões. Disponíveis para tirar qualquer dúvida e com boas sugestões de visita da região. São, igualmente, uns exímios defensores dos seus produtos. Aconselho a prova de queijos feita pela dupla, num cenário à escolha. Além de ser muito saborosa, dá a conhecer pormenores sobre a cultura e as tradições da Serra da Estrela que a tornam bastante enriquecedora. A cozinha da casa está completamente equipada e disponível para ser usada pelos hóspedes, mas vale a pena encomendar uma refeição e saborear os pratos feitos pela Inês (com produtos locais), uma cozinheira de mão cheia. Outro bom motivo para regressar!

Localização, A Inês e o Miguel muito amáveis E disponíveis

To begin with, let me just say that there’s nothing not to like! Yes the location is perfect and yes the house itself is beautiful, but what I was not expecting was the attention that Inês & Miguel gave us. Even though they were going through personal tragedies, they apologize for not giving us more attention. From the moment we arrived ... late. They were on the phone trying to find a restaurant that would make dinner for us because of the hour, and they did find it. But they didn’t stop there, Inês went with us to the restaurant to make sure that we got the food and that we would find a place with no problem. Did I say that we arrived late? And they are still doing all of this for us! But that was just the beginning, throughout the stay we had text messages to make sure that everything was OK and to ask us if we needed anything. Also letting us know places to visit restaurants to go to, oh my goodness! I don’t know what else to tell anyone other than go there! You must visit this place and meet these amazing, amazing, amazing people. The people in town are warm, playful and welcoming. You have a choice of a lot of different restaurants with great food and cheese, most amazing, creamy and delicious cheese!! I am extremely picky with cleanliness and this house was spotless, it’s in the countryside and I could not find one little cobweb nor dust, clean kitchen, clean bathrooms. I know that there are other reviews saying how wonderful the place and location are, but there are no words to describe Inês & Miguel. God willing, we are definitely returning there next year!! By the way, my son left some of his things behind and they mailed us everything with no cost, can you believe people like this still exist? I’m sure I forgot to mention other wonderful things, but try it for yourself and you’ll see 😉

I didn’t like the fact that I had to leave! I wish I could’ve stayed there much, much longer.
