Breakfast is very good

A family owned establishment that is trying their best. When entering, you feel welcomed, with lots of smiling faces. The room that I was given was ok-ish, the bed was comfortable, and they had a great selection of pillows. Extra towels for the pool are given. The design, in-general, is country-side style and I personally like it. The prices were also ok, and the restaurant had an interesting menu, with lots of fresh stuff to choose from.

The room didn't feel up to the standard of other hotels and country places. No slippers were provided, no shoe horn, the refrigerator door was hard to open and needs adjustment, the desk chair was broken but kinda held together, the toilet cover was wiggly. Regarding the restaurant, the breakfast starts at 8 AM, which is way later than the competition. They do offer lunch packs if you can't make it, but if you're traveling, you definitely appreciate the standard 6:30 AM slot that all other establishments have. Regarding dinner, I've tried several things, and although the ingredients are fresh, the outcome is a hit and miss, and I think that they need to get in a professional to create a menu and processes around them so that every meal ends up the same, and not that one dish comes under-cooked, another over salted and a third one completely bland. However, I do believe that they can improve, and I'll gladly come back to check up on them in a few months.

Better choice of car hire company. The one I had to use (Overdrive) in the center of Potzallo was very expensive, in fact a total rip off and absolutely useless customer care which resulted in me and my dog missing the ferry back to Malta. I have contacted this resort and told them never to use Overdrive again. Quite difficult to find if you're not familiar with the area. Unhappy that they charged me 20 euros for taking a towel. I'd accidentally burnt it because of the strong wind and was honest, telling them that I'd pay for it but a second hand towel, no matter how high quality it is shouldn't cost 20euros

The road to reach the property is in bad condition.

Torre Dantona is a gem. We stayed in a family suite which had plenty of room for parents and kids. The room was comfortable, beautifully appointed, and quiet. The property is gorgeous. We made lots of use of the pool to cool off from the summer heat. We looked forward to breakfast every day - the assortment of fresh cakes and pastries, homemade yogurt and ricotta, salumi and breads was delicious. We had dinner at the restaurant one night and every dish we tried was spectacular. The hotel is a 5 minute drive to Maganuco beach which is beautiful - calm water and never very crowded, 10 minutes to Marina di Modica and 15 to Pozzallo which also have nice beaches. The staff is so friendly. We will absolutely stay there on our next visit to Sicily.

The bathroom has a European style bathtub with a handheld shower head which can make it a little difficult for taller/bigger adults to takee a shower without getting the rest of the bathroom wet. But this was a minor issue and not a big deal among all the other amazing things.

The resort has a very large garden. The rooms are well equipped and the breakfast was good.
