This farm was the highlight of our road trip; the scenery is superb. The welcome is outstanding and we left feeling we’d made a friend Our hostess cooked us a delicious dinner followed by a wonderful breakfast the next morning - though the room had everything you would need if you wanted to self cater. It was all well put together, attractive and comfortable.

I struggled slightly with the shower but there certainly was plentiful hot water and it was more than likely me rather than the shower

"Prima verblijf voor warmere dagen"

De accommodatie ligt perfect qua omgeving. Super mooi en de gastvrouw was erg aardig.

Wij kwamen met minder warm weer en dan merk je dat het verblijf hiervoor niet geschikt is. Door het hoge dak, enkele glazen ramen en één houtkachel is het verblijf niet goed warm te krijgen.

Loved the outlook and cozy cottage vibe. Phyllis was extremely welcoming and made sure we were comfortable and settled in. Would definitely stay again.

"Wow, wow,wow."

We Planned to leave the farm at Maclear at 07h30, but could only leave at 14h00 due to the heavy rains that caused floods in the vlei. Our host Phyll and her daughter Lizzie was just amazing. They drove numerous times to check the water levels. They had the low bridge repaired( not on their property), escorted us and then brought us back ; again escorted us through the water until we could safely drive through( our rental car is a Suzuki Swift). We were fed and hydrated and given regular updates. If you're ever in the area, please support Phyll. Her husband died at the age of 33 after a 3 year battle with cancer, leaving Phyll with 2 little daughters and a farm to run. She is still managing the cattle farm on her own, with the help of some farm workers. What an incredible amazing woman.
