Ta Mala's Cottage

Historic apartment tastefully renovated with a quirky touch! Our welcome was warm and informative. Fully eqipped kitchen and lounge area with all necessary facilities. Spacious bedroom, very clean and comfortable with crisp linen and electric blanket [which we used for pre-heating] Large bathroom with walk-in rain shower and good water pressure. Highly recommended!

Nothing to fault with the property, but we were saddened to see the extent of the begging in Prince Albert, a clean and delightful historic town with beautifully maintained buildings

A lovely rustic Karoo stay with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The cottage suited the character of Prince Albert beautifully, and we enjoyed the peaceful setting and charming old-world feel. Conveniently located and overall a very pleasant overnight stop.

Nothing major — it was a comfortable stay overall and suited the rustic Karoo experience well.

The staff at the property were friendly and the location was very good. This is the reason for the 4 star rating - the property is in dire need of a new roof.

Major deferred maintenance- specifically the roof which leaked in both cottages we rented. I called the owner and she insisted that it was as it unexpectedly rained - which is simply not true as ‘out of towners’ we knew rain was forecast for our stay. She later admitted that she was aware with the previous weeks rains the roof leaked. We returned from a long day to a soaked bed and spent a very uncomfortable night. There are water stains on the ceiling indicating that this is not a recent issue and her argument and justification that the leaks are recent were unfounded.

It was quirky, well curated and peaceful. It was also easy to locate and very clean

I think it was a little cramped. I would suggest removing the table in the bedroom. Also, the sink, quirky as it is, should probably be plumbed in?

The cottage had lots of space , good amenities and lovely decor.
