La Quercia

If you are looking for wild and remote and beautiful you have found your place. Marco is so welcoming and made our five year son feel at home. In addition, the dinners are abundant and delicious with "zero kilometer" foods such as fried zucchini flowers (from their garden) as an appetizer.

Wow. We didn't know what to expect going into a less touristed region of the island. Come to find out, Marco and Johanne have created a home away from home and this was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Their hospitality — from recommendations to nightly meals — was everything we dreamt up for our holidays. We felt like we were part of the family. The property itself is gorgeous, full of history, and well-preserved. The dinners were abundant (come hungry!), authentic (thanks Paola!), and simply delicious. And the location offered a perfect respite from the touristy regions of Sardinia. If you want a relaxing and remote getaway, we could not recommend La Quercia, Arbus enough :)

We only had 2 nights here. We wish we had 5.

Having 2 kids of 5 and 7 years, it was nice to be in an open space and in contact with nature. Marco was amazing, always made sure we had everything we needed, he recommended also placea to see. Food was great and abundant, beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. The kids enjoyed the tree house, petting the dogs and the goat.

The location, the view from the room and the peacefulness. It is just perfect. Marco and his family give you a welcome home feeling and make you never want to leave. Fresh, beautiful food from the land.

Excellent dinner each night, really great food and wine. Marco is an excellent host. Beautiful location, and great room.

Marco and his family have been really nice, welcoming and helpful! Our stay was absolutely great ; we really enjoyed the place and the home-made food we had for diners there!
