Japans, kunstzinnig, leuke details, lekkere bedden, huurfietsen, aan alles gedacht om het de gasten zo comfortabel mogelijk te maken.

L’ambiance, la déco, la literie, les équipements… on s’est senti comme à la maison après notre journée à Naoshima, et ce sentiment est rare en voyage! La maison est un peu loin du port mais grâce aux vélos électriques que louent les propriétaires à un très bon prix, ce n’est même pas un problème!

Een unieke plek om te verblijven. Heel eenvoudig om fietsen te huren bij de eigenaar en naar de Ferry te fietsen. Naoshima is klein, heel makkelijk te fietsen in één dag. Leuke ervaring die ik niet had willen missen in onze Japan reis. “Om de hoek” een fantastischte onsen waar we met gemak 6 uur (inclusief eten en massage) hebben doorgebracht!

They had a good kitchen set up. The hot water shower was great.

The kerosene heaters are not needed as they have the aircon heaters and take up valuable space.

Die Gastgeber kümmern sich sehr um ihre Gäste. Die Region selbst ist absolut bereisenswert.

Die Kombination aus älterem, japanischen Haus mit individuellen Akzenten war nicht unsers. Gerade rund ums Haus könnte es etwas gepflegter sein ( entspricht nicht den Bildern auf booking). Und entsprechend des Haustyps ist es außer in den beheiztem Schlaf- und Wohnzimmer recht frisch ( zumindest in unser Reisezeit Anfang November).

THE only place to stay in Tamano! What a fantastic place to stay! The host is an artist and that really shows through as the house is so wonderfully eclectic.  There was more than enough room for the 2 of us and at night,  it was so quiet.  The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.  There was a lounge area, and a sitting room where you could have breakfast as the sun shone through the windows. The house is separate from the hosts residence, so very private. The house is set up for a number of nights stay (we stayed for 5 nights) and nothing was missing.  It was near a Family Mart (walking distance) and a restaurant just down the road that was really very good.  The massage/public bath/restaurant place was just a short drive away and it was so lovely to spend an afternoon there,  you really should try it.   The hosts were seriously amazing,  Brett (a New Zealander) and his lovely wife Sayako couldnt do enough for us, from booking restaurants,  to advice on what to do and see whilst in Tamano. They were so incredibly kind, replying to any questions we had very quickly.  We have travelled extensively and have never had hosts who were that helpful and kind,  they genuinely care about their guests and ensure they are more than comfortable whilst staying in there.   It truly is an oasis amidst the craziness of Japan and you would miss out on an opportunity to really experience the type of hospitality that Japan has to offer. Thank you Brett and Sayako, you were wonderful hosts 😊

It was a Japanese style home with modern amenities. The beds were all very comfortable. The host even picked us and dropped us to the train station free of charge.

Very good house: kitchen, living room, bedroom, toilet, shower, bath. Very neat and clean with lots of tips in the living room. Wifi is good, air conditioning is good, very quiet, comfy. The owner met us at the station and drove to their place: very nice of them, because we had a lot of luggage!

Such a beautiful guesthouse! And the hosts are the bomb! So accommodating and helpful and always up for a chat ❤️ will absolutely be back when next in Japan :)
