La casa era tranquilla e silenziosa ed in un contesto rurale molto romantico. La cucina era ben fornita di tutti gli elettrodomestici.

Il bagno è assolutamente da rifare... Troppo vecchio e malconcio. Letto scomodo e troppi insetti volanti all'interno della casa nonostante le zanzariere. Prezzo troppo alto per il servizio concesso. No phon e no lavatrice

Het landelijke karakter. Het is een beetje kamperen maar je hebt alles ter beschikking om een lekkere vakantie te vieren. Je hebt wel vervoer nodig omdat de locatie afgelegen is.

Het complex is met liefde en toewijding gebouwd alleen onderhoud van huis en tuin zijn matig. Het is hygiënisch maar primitief en gedateerd. Maar dat maakt het romantisch

The housekeeper was very friendly and took us with his car from the airport to the house. We also used the kitchen for cooking some food and there was everthing what we need. The beach is near to the house, you have to walk 10 minutes.

If you are used to 5***** touristic hotels this location is not for you! It is a country house where you can live an authentic experience in Porto Santo. I read the previous negative comments and I was astonished: insects (ie mosquitos) and animals (ie rabbits) are quite normal in the countryside. To avoid them, just follow simple rules such as: not leaving lights on with doors and windows open without mosquito net (the house btw has small mosquito nets on the windows and repellents) It's a short rental house, there are bed linen and towels (cleaned) but of course there is no cleaning service like in hotels! Door locks are quite ancient, but perfectly functioning. The private kitchen is equipped with the necessary tools, plus microwave, toaster and fridge (well functioning). There is no breakfast service like in hotels (as clearly indicated in the description). I simply suggest you to go to the supermarket (Pingo Doce) where you will find cakes for breakfast and freshly prepared orange juice. The house is in Serra de Fora, a little far from Vila Baleira and Porto Santo Beach (15 min drive) so it's essential to rent a car also to enjoy other beautiful things besides the sandy beach in Vila Baleira: Porto dos Frades, Porto Salemas, Pico Castelo, Miradouro da Portela, praia do Zimbrainho, Dunas do Porto Santo (and others) only accessible by private car or organized tours (I recommend Porto Santo Destination Tours, whose guide can pick you up at the house). The owner is really helpful and kind: he made himself available to bring us by car and to book us a taxi from the house to the airport (about 10€). From the Port to the house we payed about 15€ for the taxi (15 min). If you need to book taxis, restaurants or rent a car, just contact the owner, he will help you for sure!

Almost everything -Door Lock They should really change the lock, it’s not working properly. We contacted the property and they sent a man who told us just leave the door unlocked, which was not an option for us. - Cockroach The last night out of four we had a huge cockroach in the bathroom. - Disgusting toilet brush container There was a lot of what the previous guests must have left in the container, a brown soup. Also the toilet paper is supposed to be thrown into the bin, but there was no bag inside the bin. - Blood on the shower curtain and the wall - Mosquitoes! A lot of Mosquitoes On the wall there was also lot of dead mosquitoes. They should at least get them off the wall before new guests arrive. There were at least 20 dead mosquitoes on the walls when we arrived, afterwards there were even more. They should try to do something about the mosquito problem overall. We kept windows and doors shut, except for the one second every time we entered the room and we were hunting 10 to 20 mosquitoes every night and woke up with about 10 mosquito bides every morning anyways. I never experienced so many mosquito bides before. They seem to get inside on a different way. - Distance to Porto Santo Beach was described wrong It looks like they fixed the the comment on the distance to Porto Santo beach, because 16 minute walking distance was just not true and actually one reason we booked this place. We fixed this by renting a scooter, which was not planned and caused additional cost. Afterwards the host told me it was booking.com's fault, but we found other websites offering the apartment with the same wrong description - No WiFi There is absolutely no WiFi within the apartment. The host told me they have issues with the signal. There is no signal! I’m sorry for the harsh words, but I took the time and effort to write this comment to warn other people and because I really hope this will lead to improvement, since we feel the property has some potential
