Earthbridge

I've been here twice with different groups of friends, and all of us are keen to go here again in future. On a previous trip we used it as a first stop from Auckland before going further north to the rest of Coromandel. This trip we stopped in Paeroa before check-in on a Saturday to look at all the antique stores and opshops. At Earthbridge in summer it's great to go down to the rocky stream and have a dip, and maybe a BBQ too, and watch the sunset on the ridge of the property with the provided insect repellent. For cooler days you can sit around the fire, or relax in the fire bath. Brew some tea and play boardgames. With clear skies at night, you can spend a long time looking at the stars - I was very excited to see a shooting star clearly :) In future I would like to spend more time in the local forest tracks. Tim and Vivienne are beautiful hosts, and are happy to give you space if you prefer privacy, but I encourage you to chat with them about how they made the place, their future projects. It's a real highlight personally, inspiring.

Not an issue for us, but the house makes use of stairs to get to the door, and also a small level change indoors to get to bedrooms. If someone in your group needs wheelchair access, this property is probably not ideal.

Beautiful wood carvings and tiles. Very comfortable. Lovely hosts.

Location a bit out of the way. The bush walk was good but the track needed a bit of attention with overgrown grass and branches. No wifi as it is so far from amenities.

It is bueatiful place , wonderful surroundings like in the movie, fantastic house design and natural marvellous views , it is stunning!!!!!,
