Es war ja bereits unser zweiter Aufenthalt hier. Daher wussten wir schon wie schön es hier ist. Ganz liebevoll hergerichtetes kleines Häuschen mit extrem freundlichem Vermieter und großartigem aber überreichlichem Frühstück.

Die erste Nacht wurde es trotz Kamin nicht so richtig warm - aber wir glauben, dass es in Santar ansosnten selten im Winter so eisig kalt wird. Abgeholfen wurde dann mit einem elektrischen Heizofen........

Foi uma estadia maravilhosa! A casa é um charme, muito aconchegante, tudo de altíssima qualidade e o cafe da manha é excepcional! O atendimento do Rui também é nota 1000! Gostaríamos de ter mais tempo para ficar mais dias 😁

We were charmed by every aspect of our stay. The studio, a beautifully designed two-floor apartment, immediately captivated us with its inviting living room. Adorned with exquisite vines artwork, it subtly paid homage to the renowned DAO Portuguese wine region, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance. The dedicated kitchen was a true delight, thoughtfully equipped with everything one could possibly need for a pleasant and self-sufficient stay. The overall decoration struck a perfect balance between contemporary elegance and traditional charm, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the area. However, if we had to pick one highlight, it would undoubtedly be the breakfast experience. The owner, Luis, proved to be an exceptional host, arriving punctually each morning at our designated time. He carried with him a magnificent basket, brimming with a delightful assortment of regional delicacies and treats, each item a testament to the local culinary traditions. On the first day, we savored a wonderful array of fresh pastries, local cheeses, cured meats, and homemade jams, all accompanied by freshly squeezed juice and aromatic coffee. To our pleasant surprise and immense delight, the second day's basket was entirely different, presenting a completely new and unexpected selection of delicacies that were just as, if not more, delightful than the first. This thoughtful gesture truly elevated our mornings and provided a genuine taste of the DAO region's gastronomic treasures. This cocoon is the perfect place to spend a full week and explore the region!

Extrem gastfreundlich, stilvoll renoviert und ein (allerdings viel zu umfangreiches . wer soll das bitte Alles essen????) leckeres Frühstück wird vom Vermieter ins Haus geliefert. Wir haben hier bereits für Dezember wieder gebucht.........

The Casa Luís de Camões is a unique place. Very special. The house is full of details that show how much the owners care about the place and the legacy of Luís de Camões. Santar is a very special place bur the Casa Luís de Camões makes it even more special. Rui is an excellent host. I am short of words about how great this place is.

Neat clean and modern small house. With AC! The owner was very friendly and brought a rich and fresh breakfast basket every morning. In the center of Santar, visit the gardens!

The steps to the 2nd floor were not optimal for elderly people like us. But we managed.
