Agriturismo La Collina

Habitación muy amplia y muy cómoda. A pesar de la proximidad a Pienza, nos sentimos en plena naturaleza, y se escuchaba el canto de los pajarillos al amanecer. Piscina estupenda, tumbonas, y posibilidad para el desayuno y la cena en aquel lugar. Merece totalmente la pena quedarse a cenar allí: precios magníficos, servicio impecable, alimentos muy ricos, muy buena atención, y en plena naturaleza, con una bonita vista de la ciudad.

On the morning of check-out, we asked if we could come back later to shower after visiting natural springs nearby. A staff member told us this was fine. When we returned, another staff member told us we had to pay €10 for two towels, which had not been mentioned in the morning. For us, it was not about the money, but we didn't think it was reasonable to charge us for towels after a paid stay. We asked if they were serious about this. The staff member then raised their voice, repeating “Yes, I’m serious”. We replied that we found the rule unfair, but still agreed to pay. The situation then escalated. The staff member became visibly upset and refused to give us the towels anyway, saying we had “disrespected” them and were “aggressive” because we asked if they were serious. They then stood up and insulted us multiple times, with phrases such as “use your brain” and “you’re uneducated”. At that point, we started filming in case the situation escalated further. We tried to make our point, but the exchange continued to deteriorate until the staff member made us leave. As we were walking away, the staff member told us “vaffan*ulo”, an offensive Italian insult. The video can be found on YouTube by searching: “la collina pienza insults”. This review is not about the towel fee. It is about whether a guest can question a charge without being insulted and made to leave the property. It is a nice place and up to that point, our experience was fine. But based on how we were treated, we cannot recommend staying there.

It was on such a beautiful corner, and the land was so peaceful and quiet.

Posizione ottima a due passi da Pienza (raggiungibile anche con una camminata a piedi). Struttura pulita, camere molto spaziose.
