Location had beautiful view. The double bed was comfortable.

Very neglected inside, urgently need paint. Toilet struggle to flush Smoke smell of fireplace (from previous use) lingering throughout the whole house.

Quaint, old, farm cottage. Beautiful views. Tranquil. Cosy. Loved having a log fire on a chilly night. Loved the dogs visiting. Fresh flowers placed in areas. Pleasant walks. Wisdom is a wonderful host and manager. Nothing is too much trouble.

loved the fact that there was no TV

I don't mind rustic, but the main bedroom door didn't close, and some cupboard doors needed repair. These small details detract from what is a beautifully situated charming cottage which offers unequalled peace and tranquility.

"We enjoyed every minute and would absolutely visit. Highly recommended as a rustic cottage in the Berg."

The cottage was cosy and comfy. We loved the outlook towards the mountains in the distance. Wisdom, the host, was an absolute star. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We loved having a fireplace - even in January. A fire was lit every night. We loved the dogs visiting. And the cat. It was great having the horses on the property too. We enjoyed the tranquility and nearby walks.

The kitchen could be better equipped. For example: Although the cottage sleeps 4, there were only 3 matching plates and 1 glass wine glass. There weren’t enough tumblers.

"Idyllic little cottage with spectacular views of the mountain"

Beautiful location; however, getting there was a challenge as the national roads are in a bad state of disrepair. This, coupled with the heavy mist, necessitated a very slow drive which made the trip feel much longer and tiring.

"Restful and peaceful"

The friendliest staff I’ve ever come across with. Wisdom is a gem to be treasured. Beautiful location. Well kept gardens. Fireplace and fresh milk for my coffee

Protection from the rain especially, the entry area into the cottage.
