Habitación muy amplia y baño súper grande. Cama muy cómoda. Decoración exquisita.

Está muy lejos del resto de pueblos, para llegar a Algaranejo hay muchiiiiisimas curvas. Tuvimos que cambiar de habitación porque se escuchaba un ruido continuo, la chica super amable y comprensiva nos dejó cambiar de habitación. Cuando nos cambiamos, también se escuchaba ese ruido pero menos. La habitación es muy bonita, pero muy húmeda, tanto que se veían humedades en paredes y techos, e incluso caían mijitas. El baño parecía limpio pero cuando te fijabas un poco, había bastoncillos usados en un hueco, ganchillos e incluso un capuchón de un cepillo de dientes. Por la tarde noche, descubrimos de donde procedía el ruido continuo, avisamos a la propietaria y nos dijo como apagar la máquina del patio que lo producía. La cocina común estaba sucia, llena de trastos de la casa... Si no te fijas tanto en los detalles, te parece bien... 😅

Casa Maria - A Historic Mansion with Untapped Potential We stayed at Casa Maria for a couple of nights, attracted by the stunning old mansion. Unfortunately, the absence of an on-site owner isn’t mentioned in the Booking.com listing, leading to less personal service than expected. The historic building has lost some of its charm and soul, though it still holds great potential with a bit more care. The back terrace is lovely and spacious, a nice spot to unwind, but it was dirty with scattered twigs, leaves, and bird droppings that needed clearing. The shared kitchen is functional but dated and could definitely use a modern update. On top of that, nobody cleaned our room during our stay, which left it feeling unkempt and overlooked. Our room was on the front side, which I’d strongly advise against booking. Noise from the nearby cafeteria kept us awake until around 2 AM, with loud groups including families with young children being particularly disruptive. Definitely request a quiet room at the back for any chance of peace. WiFi didn’t connect at first, but the remote owner was quick and helpful via WhatsApp—appreciate the responsive communication there. The bathroom was disappointing: the sink wasn’t properly clean, and the mini soap dispensers were half-empty (used by previous guests), with the soap dried out and impossible to dispense. Spanning four floors with over 10 rooms, this place has scale but feels like it’s on autopilot without that hands-on touch. It’s a real shame because with better cleaning, noise management, and those little details, it could be a fantastic stay. fingers crossed for improvements.

I would have liked a coffee machine in the room and coverings on the glass bathroom doors.

Could be nice to have an option to make a coffee or tea in the room.

The location in the square. The tasteful Spanish decor. The view. The AC/heater. Beautiful bathroom and effective hot shower. The very comfy bed with quality linen. Thoughtful communication from the owner. The wifi.

I would have liked tea making facilities in my room if possible.
