Carrig Country House & Restaurant

It was in a lovely location and near to friends of ours. Staff were very nice and helpful. We had a nice welcome and tea and biscuits on the lawn. Beautiful gardens.

The hotel is now rather dated and so are the facilities. We thought that breakfast was poor considering the overall price (sliced supermarket bread; uninspired breakfast choice; stainless steel tea pots; very average fruit salad etc)

Excellent location for our requirements, very attentive and friendly staff, food was brilliant and room was exceptional with an amazing view of the lake. All in all, we were looked after in every way possible.

Breakfast was fantastic. The staff were amazing so helpful and kind and accommodating. The view from our bedroom and from the lounge and dining room was spectacular and we both spent lots of time just gazing out of the windows.

I would have loved to make a cuppa first thing in the morning. Thats all. Not a biggy.

Excellence in every way. Cannot wait to return. The superb service began before we arrived and continued throughout our stay.

The property was situated right on a lake. My room had a lake view and it was most delightful. If you stay, stay for dinner. We had dinner for both days that we stayed there. I could not be more impressed with my dinners.

There is nothing that I didn’t like about this place. I wish I could come back soon.

Stunning views of the lake. Wonderful ambience. I loved the personal touch of being greeted for dinner from lounge or snug.

Expensive when compared to similar country houses. For the price, I think it needed to add additional toiletries (like flannel and body lotion).
