We used the small house. A beautifully reformed rural stone cottage/refuge - perfect location for two people to enjoy for a couple of days

The stairs are perhaps a bit adventurous for elderly people (60+)

The location is very quiet and peaceful but within a very short drive of several amazing beaches. The house was incredibly clean and spacious with every utensil and appliance you could ask for, with many considerations being taken by the owners above and beyond what is usually offered. They were so generous with their recommendations and told us about a local phenomenon (Mar de Ardora) that we were lucky enough to see (it's worth coming just for this. The sea lights up blue at night! Insane). The location offers access to so many beaches within minutes, all of them stunning and peaceful, and is a starting point of a really lovely coastal drive that goes on for miles and makes you want to keep driving. Local amenities are perfectly adequate with a terrific supermercado selling really decent veg/fruit/prepared food. The hosts were kind and genuinely lovely, helping with so many things beyond what was required. What more can I say? Perfect.

Honestly, the only slight disappointment was that the place looked like it was within short walking distance on Booking.com and was labelled 'beachfront' but it's probably a 30 minute stretch at least. 2 minutes in the car, though, no problem.

A quiet rural retreat. Nicely furnished. We paid a little extra to upgrade from the studio to the 2 bedroom and this was well worth it.

The most charming stone house in a great location near beaches! Our host was incredibly kind and gave us a warm welcome. We instantly felt at home!

A beautifully renovated old Galician stone house. Garden was lovely, we sat by the horreo watching the sun go down with charcuterie and cheese we bought at the local shop. We arrived a little early, but the owner signed us in and let us take the key so we could have a leisurely lunch and go to the beach. Her recommendation for lunch had amazing views across to Fisterra and the best scallops we had eaten all week. Beaches were pristine and empty, water was clear and refreshing. Studio apartment had everything we needed and a generous bathroom. Parking was just down the road, 10metres, plenty of space. The 3 parts of the property can be opened up into each other for larger groups. Owners were super friendly and great to talk to. An amazing end to our week in Galicia.

We didn't mind them, but be aware that the stairs to the mezzanine sleeping area are very narrow and steep. Perfection would have been a sea view from the garden, but you can't have everything and the fabulous beach is only 5 min drive away.
