as lovely as the hosts were, it certainly was not 'a little piece of tranquility' with building works starting at 8am

The cave self catering accommodation was unique, beautifully reformed and decorated, huge bed, lovely shower room, and bijou kitchen with all mod cons. Cosy sofa, and dining areas inside and outside. The pool looked lovely although sadly didn't get the chance to try it out. Jane our host was very friendly, helpful and very relaxed and provided a big bottle of water on arrival. It's only 5mins drive in to town, and a flat road if you're cycling, 45+mins by foot. We had a fab day trip to thermal spa and restaurant at Zujar, highly recommended.

The main issue is location. The area is surrounded by cave development and limited in views outside the of the cave oasis. A cluster of cats around and at night (as in much of rural Spain) lots of dogs. Also seemed to be a lot of wasps, but might be time of year and there are traps around the garden. No bars/restaurants in neighbourhood, yet.
