Very friendly welcome, staff were very helpful and accommodating, nothing seemed to much trouble. The breakfast was great and had a good choice. Evening meals if you chose to eat in were excellent

The steep drive & shingle drive as we were on a large motorbike. Just a comment not a negative comment

General location and the quirky but perfect amalgamation of buildings on different levels. Their new dining area is a beautiful bonus. The state of decoration is as new. Dining is of a high standard and has one or two special offerings: the freshly baked bread rolls are exceptional. Staff couldn’t be more helpful yet weren’t overly attentive.

Not of particular concern for a three night stay but hotels usually make up the room each morning!

The staff were brilliant and very helpful. The facilities were great, very good food.

Staff were very welcoming and we felt valued residents. Dinner menu was varied and we dined 2 nights and all meals were exceptional. Super views from terrace and dining room and a very pleasant lounge area too

When I arrived right from the off I was pleasantly surprised. The place was lovely! The venue, the outside views to die for! The staff were so helpful, lounge was great lovely furnishings. I didnt have dinner as had already eaten in Keswick but food looked great. I had breakfast in the morning and it was brilliant cooked to perfection!!!

Bedroom was on the small side but perfectly formed and ok for me, think two adults might find it a squeeze. Would have liked a fridge in there too, but seriously these are not exactly deal breakers the place was really nice

The views over the fields and hills were beautiful. We enjoyed them from the lounge, the restaurant, the patio, and our room. The food was exceptional.

Our bathroom had a motion sensor for the light that we couldn’t switch off. As a consequence, the light went on when we went into the bathroom in the middle of the night when we didn’t want a bright light and went off when we were having a shower. Be careful when offered the house made gin. It is very expensive.

What a find! The Lodge’s decor is beautiful and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. But the food….the food was out of this world. Trip of lamb was truly delicious, hubby said his steak was the best he had eaten in years (and he knows steak). The pièce de résistance, however, was Brett! He was wholly attentive and made sure everything was perfect - even arranging a packed lunch because we had to check out before breakfast. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area now!

Our stay was too short!
