"Fabulous hotel, outstanding food, staff and location."

Excellent location, you can just walk out down to the lake, St Bedes church, Mirehouse, Dodd Wood and so much more. Food was outstanding. Furnished very welcoming and tasteful, rooms with everything you need. Comfy beds, lounge area with log fire, quirky bar area in repurposed stables, the Resturant is in a fabulous setting, looking out over the valley, every window in this hotel is framing a view. It also has a lovely garden and patio seating area. Everything you could possibly ask for in a location.

There’s nothing to complain about at all!

"Very disappointed would not recommend."

The breakfast was good lovely location. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

The size of bedroom 3 very small no wardrobe not one hook for hanging anything. We are two elderly people and lived out of a suitcase each for four nights.The bathroom was tiny. The hair drier was last pack tested in 2019.

"Fabolous short stay"

Very comfortable small hotel in a wonderful setting. Staff led by maitre di Brett provided excellent care. Food was fabolous - lamb and cod were exceptional. And we could have stayed for several weeks drinking Brett’s home made gin. See you soon again

Very nice and clean very approachable, friendly staff a lovely small hotel

We felt the bedroom was too hot. There was a fan provided we had the window open, but still the room stayed too warm.
