Wayford Bridge Inn Hotel

The hotel has been taken over by new owners confusion with booking as I booked a room with a river view Anas a balcony with breakfast included however the hotel question my booking saying that I hadn’t booked that type of room or breakfast and asked me for proof on a number of occasions which I showed to staff every time they kept saying it was an error with booking .com as they don’t even cater a room with a balcony or river view so was disappointed with that. Would not stay there again.

The place was lovely,rooms had everything we needed,the food in the restaurant was great and there was a good selection on the menu food was hot and cooked fresh (best steak pie i had in long time full of meat and very lovely root veg soup well done chef.Staff were very friendly and helpful.parking was good also.Short drive to wroxham.

The room was cold at times as the heating was obviously on a central timer,but around the times evenings mostly when you would be in your room it was off and it became cold quite quickly,as it was hard flooring it was cold to,luckily I brought our slippers and thick jumpers,wouldn't be a problem in the warmer months.could do with a coat hook so you don't have to leave coats over the chairs but that's only my opinion

Although it's a basic room, it was perfect for us. Clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful

Needed a later check-in time so it was a bit of an inconvenience but worked around it without too much hassle.

A lot! Firstly, we wanted an above average room and having viewed the Booking.com advert which showed the option of a room with a balcony and large bed (See advert) we elected to pay the extra and book. On arrival we were promptly led to our room, but not an upper room as anticipated, but instead a ground floor room with a normal bed and NO BALCONY ... WHY ... Because the hotel does NOT have any balconies and NEVER has!! Furthermore, the view was straight onto a patio so no privacy as people on the patio could look straight in. Feeling unhappy, we returned to Reception where the staff member said they had other rooms and took to a room in an "Annex" away from the main building. That room was fine, however upon checking the bathroom there was only ONE large towel and a shower mat - back to Reception to be told there maybe one in the wardrobe ... having re-checked, there was a second large towel in the back of cupboard. There were no hand towels and learned that they are not provided unless you ASK for them at the bar. Our stay was a mini re-union so for ease we elected to eat in the hotel's restaurant. Sadly, the food can only be described as "AVERAGE" at best, two of the meals were only half eaten because of quality and one meal was extremely poor in all respects and was left for which we were credited. Off to bed ... NO LIGHTING to the annex, the staff said there was an electrical fault, and it was not wiring or a fuse. Finally, breakfast: described through Booking.com's description as "VERY GOOD" ... Well, it certainly was not ... we all could only class it as average at best! (Dried mushrooms, hard tasteless sausages, cold toast. Extra teabags and toast were asked for, and these only arrived after the staff were hastened several times. If it were not for the enjoyment of our mini re-union, the event would have been considered a complete failure - something NEVER to be attempted again at this hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful, we enjoyed our dinner & breakfast, rooms were modern & spacious, with good facilities
