The part we stayed in was originally a oast house and has been sympathetically converted into a comfortable en suite bedroom. An enormous comfortable bed along with stylish furniture. The restaurant was very attractive and comfortable. We were visiting friends so did not have dinner but we enjoyed breakfast on both days and having worked in the hospitality industry all my working life found the food to be of excellent quality and presented. The staff were excellent friendly and very efficient and knowledgeable.

The access road which I accept is a private road and has to be maintained by the owners but even with a 4x4 found it very difficult to avoid the potholes.

Great location, lovely room and good food.

Could have done with a shower curtain to stop flooding the bathroom.

We thought we were going to a hotel so were surprised when there was no restaurant with a bar that closed at 6. We were signposted to a local pub 3 miles from the hotel.

Informed last minute of a busy evening event. Stuck in the middle of nowhere with a lot of noise and no other place than the room to stay In hindsight, and considering the cost of the room, we would have chosen another place for the night
