Nothing that I didn’t like but couple of points to consider 1. Provision of light duvet cover for warm weather plus portable fans (risk of midges attack when leaving windows open at night) 2. The lovely piano in the conservatory requires tuning
ITWarm welcome. We had no problem with early arriving. Excellent dinner and breakfast with charming service. Nice view at afternoon tea in the garden.

GBThe hotel had a very comfortable feel to it. Its an old country estate house that offers many quiet and comfortable sitting areas for quiet relaxation, contemplation and/or meeting other guests. It has a nice relaxed ambiance with a strong "homely" feel. The staff were truly excellent. Our meals were very good. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel expressed a lot of Scottish character in its furnishings and presentation. The bar was small but well stocked. Most common rooms had log fires which will be lovely in the colder months.
Can't really think of anything specific. It's an older building and so guests should manage their expectations on the facilities provided and how things work - this is not a new building high tech offering - but everything worked fine.
