Sun Castle Houses

The house was lovely with a great big terrace and a view of the sea where we could watch the sunset everyday. Inside the house was well stocked with pans, glasses, cutlerly, kettle , coffee maker with filter and lots more. The bed was also really comforable and it was a nice size, so were the sheets clean and new. On the first day the owner had left for us water and juice in the fridge plus wine on the table, which was a very nice gesture. We found that the area was really quiet and there wasn't any noise from outside at night. We did have a problem with something on the first night however the owner did offer for us to swap houses which was a nice gesture. The lady looking after the place was always on site and could be reached on her mobile. She also did housekeeping everyday, she made up the bed and cleaned the floor which isn't something you usually get in these types of rentals.

The biggest negative for us was the fact that on our fist night after our very long day of travelling when we layed on the bed above our heads there were several centipedes and they were quite big and disgusting. My partner had to deal with them at midnight and because the ceiling was so high this was quite an acrobatic show he had to throw to get rid of them. I do have a phobia of pretty much all insects so that meant for the next couple of nights I knew i won't be able to get any sleep. Pretty much the whole night we were catching these disgusting things and throwing them out the house. It was a terrible night of pretty much no sleep. In the morning we told the owner and she was really apologetic and offered us to swap houses saying that the other cottage will not have them. Relieved from her words we wondered if our second night would be better. We were wrong, there were centipedes there as well. Not as many as in the first house but they were there again and were crawling on the ceiling every night. This really ruined our holiday, we couldn't really sleep because of the fear that something might fall on the bed and crawl on us because there were always above the bed. My partner even found one tucked into a blanket on the sofa. The shower in the bathroom was fancy but cound't be used to it's full potential because at times the water was really hot and then for a few seconds the water would get freezingly cold. One fo the days we couldn't take a shower because there was no hot water, so again we had to phone the owner and she said that she would turn it on for us, why was it turned off no one knows. At the end we had to shower at midnight waiting for the hot water to arrive. There is a TV in the house but there were exactly 4 channels that were barely working and would cut off every few minutes. Our first house had a smart TV but the second one that we were moved to didn't.

We had a great time. We were travelling with both our dog and cat. The host Eli was very nice to us and helped us with every need we had. She changed the sheets regularly and tidied our house when we were out. An amazing experience, we will definitely come back at some point.

Amazing place with stunning view and great pool area. The villas offer everything you could need. Extremely well maintained and clean. The host was so warm, friendly and helpful with everything you need.

Excellent location, comfortable and super clean room/house, relatively quiet for the most part (despite the nearby road), friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The house/room could benefit from a Nespresso machine (instead of only having the option for filter coffee), and a couple of extra power sockets (perhaps with the use of power strips) near the bed area for all your devices and lights.

Our stay at Sun Castle House in Lefkada was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality by our incredibly helpful and friendly hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.The house itself was immaculate, with every room sparkling clean and beautifully maintained. But what truly set this place apart was the breathtaking view. We were treated to panoramic vistas that were simply mesmerizing, and the sunsets were nothing short of spectacular, painting the sky with vibrant colors every evening.If you're looking for a serene and beautiful retreat, Sun Castle House is the perfect choice. We can't recommend it highly enough and will certainly be returning in the future!

Everything was perfect, very cozy and clean. We had a very nice stay. Our room was cleaned daily, with always clean sheets and towels. We also had amazing view!
