Definitely the most memorable stay we had during our 3 weeks vacation in Spain and Portugal. The cave hotel keeps the room cooling without the needs of AC despite the high temperature due to summer heat wave.

Er was geen ontvangst. Men was ons gewoon vergeten! Gelukkig konden andere bezoekers de eigenaar verwittigen. Na 1/2 uur wachten kregen we eindelijk de sleutel en excuses. We hebben tijdens ons bezoek de eigenaar niet gezien. De dame die ons de sleutel bezorgde was wel supper vriendelijk! Ik vraag me af hoe de communicatie met booking verloopt? Ik had alles betaald en een mail gestuurd (via booking) met de boodschap dat we zouden arriveren tussen 19 en 20u. Op deze mail kregen we geen antwoord!! Ook was de ligging dicht bij de autostrade die je steeds in de verte kon horen wanneer je buiten was.

The property was rather unusual as it was constructed out of caves dug into the cliff side some 20 years ago. On the same site are caves dating back hundreds of years and a great interpretation centre. The rooms and facilities are great, very well laid out and equipped for self catering. Manuel the owner was great and most helpful. On the first evening he kindly took us onto a plateau to admire the amazing geological vista of the badlands and the sunset and then back via a restaraunt where we could get some dinner. Altogether a great experience and part. Altogether an enjoyable stay in a very interesting area of Spain, very much to be recommended.

It is a bit close to the motorway, but not a major negative.
