Elandskloof Trout Farm

Good morning We stayed very nicely in house 16 - we enjoyed the silence and the fact that there were no other visitors. We felt very safe and were not scared of any of the personnel. The personnel were very friendly and kept their distance. We had a restful time and will come back in the future.

When we made a small fire in the fireplace, all went well until you closed the door - then the smoke came into the room. So we kept the door open on a small part until it was time we went to bed and the fire had died down.

Pas de wifi (sauf au restaurant) mais est-ce un mal dans un lieu pareil ?

Quit and relaxing

Although they advised on the condition of the pool, I would suggest that they get it maintained even if there is an extra charge to use it. I think it would have guests coming back as the rest is perfect.

What an absolutely breathtaking view from start to finish waking up to the sound of farm animals and going to sleep with the sound of the wind rushing through the leaves and frogs singing.. it just brings you back to earth. Your phone won't work, so you and your family will connect and have a great time fishing or just enjoying each other's company .. you can see upgardes are being done and are apreachated..

A little bit of love is still needed .. Bathrooms had a hint of molding and definitely needs an upgrade .The hot swimming pool is looking a bit rough, and the spiderwebs are taking over. The restaurant was not open, and I still dont know when it would have opened. The staff could not tell me.. Just bring your own food and you will be sorted. I would not recommend driving with a normal car: the gravel roads are not nice on your way to the farm

We ended up sleeping at the garage due to the fact that there was no network towards the venue. In short, we paid for accommodation we couldn't access. very difficult to rate because for the first time using bookingdotcom to experience such. the plan was to sleep around the area where it would be easy to access the start area of the Tracn4 marathon. but we ended up sleeping at the Astron Milly petrol station outside.

Absolute piece of heaven on earth. An absolute must.

The location of Elandskloof is very beautiful. The trout dams are very nice. Fishing was average.

We visited Elandskloof in December 2025 / January 2026. The information of booking.com indicates that Elandskloof has a restaurant that you can have breakfast & dinner at. The restaurant was nonfunctional and not open during our stay. It is also mentioned that Elandskloof has a heated swimming pool and hot tub. We found that the heated swimming pool is only heated over weekends thus it was not heated during the weekdays we were there. The hot tub was also very dirty and patched up. You can see that Elandskloof was a very nice place in the past however it does not seem to be maintained very well i.e. at the swimming pool area there were broken furniture and our geiser unit's electrical distribution board was uncovered..
