Elandskloof Trout Farm

The situation was lovely: quiet and peaceful. We were only staying overnight, but could have spent a couple of nights just to unwind. The staff were very helpful, and friendly. A storm knocked the power out during the night, and they were there in the morning with hot water for coffee.

The facilities are a little run down and tired, but more than adequate for a single night's stay.

Unit needs an upgrade. Very old. A new ceiling, paint job and new cupboards and decor would make a huge difference.

The personal was very helpful when we asked them something. Enough bedding for the cold nights.

I booked the accommodation for the covered heated pool. No heated pool. They select when they heat the pool. When I booked the info was that the pool is open, if it is open it must be heated if you advertise it as such. Lighting in the ablusion was not working, had to ask the next day to be fixed. You know guests are coming make sure everything is in order. Didn't clean the braai. You can be basic but still looking good. Everything looks old and dirty. Had to wash some of the plates before using. Big disappointment. Would not stay there again.

Nature

Almost none of the advertised features existed. No restaurant,no heated undercover pool, no hottub, no hot water, limited to one bathroom, dirt road and state there of are not mentioned, no horses, no game.fridge not working. Hotplate rusted dirty and microwave dirty, full of oil. Tablecloth full fatty stains.Linnen dirty from previous guests.Cutlery are old and in bad state.vieslike plek on te bly

Scenery and views, peaceful and quiet. Friendly staff, unit was clean. Management upgraded our accommodation without any extra cost.

No mirror in unit to do makeup and hair except for small one in bathroom.
