Atmosphere and warm welcome Nice breakfast

Lovely rural setting with pedigree horses in the field outside my bedroom window. Outstanding breakfast, with a particularly generous portion of fruit, including raspberries from their own garden and apple juice from their own orchard.

Beautiful old property fully restored and decorated appropriately. Genuinely welcoming and gracious host. The best breakfast, fruit salad included raspberries from their own garden!

Steep stairs

Beautiful location in the countryside, there is lovely surroundings around the house and is close by to towns like Mullingar and Ballymahon. The rooms were very comfortable and clean with a nice little bathroom and a TV as well. Breakfast was delicious, we got a lovely breakfast fry and there was fruits, cereal and yogurt included as well.

I wanted to go into town to collect a takeaway that I had ordered, I left the place at 10:45pm but the gates were already closed. I asked the owner if he could open the gates but said 'No, it was too late' which is disappointing because we were told on arrival the the gates close at around midnight and I was only going to be a few minutes. Another issue I had was check out times. We were told on arrival that check out time was between 10 and 12, it even says it on their website but we were told the next morning at breakfast that check out time was at 11 which we had no problem with but we didn't appreciate the rude reception we got from the hosts over the fact we checked out 5 minutes late which I thought this a bit uncalled for considering the original check out time was 12 and not 11.
