Blue Sea Villa & Apartments

The host is very hospitable. There were wildfires in our area and he took good care of us, making sure we get safe to the villa. Also, he made great recommendations for us about nice places to visit in the area, even some discounted restaurants. Last not least, he brought us traditional Greek donuts one morning, to make for a sweet breakfast. The location is quite convenient for many beaches in the South-Eastern corner of Greece. The house is beautifuly designed, as you can see in the photos on booking.com.

One of the bedrooms lacks natural ventilation, which makes it dependent on the air conditioning (which is available and working). I personally slept there and, though not ideal, it was eventually acceptable.

Bright and cheerful villa about a 20-minute walk from the main part of Makry Galios. Apostolis is a very good host who responded to our queries quickly and found us a taxi after we had walked to a remote village. He also left us some very nice pastries on couple of occasions. The beach opposite the villa is a bit rocky, but there is a more sandy beach a few minutes away. The best beach is about a 25-minute walk or five-minute drive away. Lots of good places to eat in the centre of Makry Galios right by the sea, which is lovely. Plenty of supermarkets, shops and a couple of pharmacies. The main bedroom and one of the smaller bedrooms look out on to a small enclosed courtyard, with access to a storage room that contains the washing machine.

One of the bedrooms and the bathroom have no natural light. In early May the road outside wasn’t too busy, but at certain times of day there was a fair bit of traffic some of which was quite fast. The villa sleeps six, but would suggest only two adults as there is limited seating – one sofa and a table with four dining chairs. Due to local fire restrictions we were unable to use the outside oven and barbecue.

Everything was great: the location, the surroundings, the accommodation itself and the kindness and support of the landlord. All this invites to visit this fantastic place again :)

We had an amazing stay at Blue Sea Villa. Apostolis went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The house is perfectly located across the road from the crystal blue sea, a short stroll to the beach and to the village where there are great local tavernas. All in all, highly recommended
