Captain Ikaros

Not as we expected at all.

Wat een prachtige locatie. Nieuwe beheerder Anthony was nog druk bezig alles op orde te krijgen. Joanna is de locale wijn expert en ze was de Captain Ikaros wijn aan het bottelen. We hadden de 3 persoons hut. Veel ruimte om buiten te zitten. Alles tip top in orde. Neem een taxi als je aankomt, met bagage is de weg niet zo fijn om te lopen, zonder gaat prima. Heerlijk weinig toeristisch. Een aanrader

Captain Ikaros is an excellent place to stay in Ikaria. Each room is totally unique, and they are thoughtfully created. It is authentic, peaceful, and I would recommend staying here to anyone who arrives to Ikaria. The staff is very friendly as well!

Great location and accommodations. Service was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

Le immagini pubblicate sul sito di booking, che presentano questo posto come un luogo ameno, sono esattamente l’opposto di quello che ho trovato. Gli spazi comuni presentano strutture fatiscenti, in stato di evidente degrado e apparente abbandono, con cantieri aperti e non attivi, attrezzi di lavoro tutto intorno e arredi vecchi e rotti. Un ambiente non decoroso e decisamente poco adatto alla presenza di ospiti paganti in vacanza di piacere. Un posto da evitare. Riguardo all’alloggio, il bungalow “tree house”, a parte il senso di vecchiume e scarsa igiene che comunicava a prima vista, ne rilevo una su tutte: su booking viene dichiarata un superficie di 30 mq, mentre nella realtà sarà forse a malapena di 10-12 mq. effettivi. Ma di questi 10-12 – attenzione! – l’ambiente “notte” sarà si e no di circa 3 mq, giusto lo spazio di un materasso, come si capisce anche dalla foto del sito stesso. Ambiente asfittico dove non c’è neanche la possibilità di stare in piedi. Siamo fuggiti.
