Podrumi Kolar "Suza Baranje"

The hosts were extremely friendly, we could choose between English and Hungarian (and if we had been able, Croatian!) languages to converse. The wine-tasting was enjoyable. The home-made breakfast was superb, but not for a slimmer' club! A fried egg for two (at least 6 eggs!) followed by 8 types of home-smoked kolbász, salami, kulen and ham. Fruit juice and choice of coffee and tea. The hosts also sorted out a serious problem initiated by booking-com.

The room was dark and not particularly inviting. The shower was too small for a grown person to fit into. The room was up a steep and narrow set of outdoor steps, which should have been pointed out in the description. (In fact, access should always be accurately described in booking.com venues,) A few days before departure, I rveceived a message from booking.com on my phone saying that my booking had been cancelled as I had not arrived at the venue! When I checked on my home computer, there was no such message. Luckily, I could contact thje property: they had received the same message, but luckily had not let it out to anyone else. I was able to "re-"book direct through the property. Before we arrived, the property also contacted to say that the booking had been successful after all. As this was part of a wedding anniversary surprise for my wife, this incurred several unnecessary hours of anxiety, none of it the fault of the property.

Everything,lovely and cosy. Lovely staff, extremely clean and delicious breakfast.

Our hosts were very welcoming. Location of the apartment is great; in the heart of Baranja region. Breakfast was exceptional (home made jam, domestic charcuterie and cheese). Would warmly recommend to other travellers.

Everything - room, atmosphere, food (breakfast was amazing), wine, nature, people. Coming back for sure😀

Wonderful place. Great wine and amazing breakfasts. I only wish I stayed longer. If I ever go to Baranja again I will choose it again.

Comfortable room, great wines and friendly staff. Easy parking. Huge tasty country-style breakfast! The hosts are local Hungarians / helyi magyar szállásadók!:)
