Appartements Gasthof Schleifmühle Unterammergau

Very good location, right on a way to the mountains. Tasty breakfast, everything just perfect. Even sound proof walls didn’t matter in such a wonderful place.

This was one of the best Gast Hauses we ave ever stayed in. It is an older building, formerly a waterwheel, but the Haus has been comp,Everything has been renovated, new bathrooms rooms, all new floors, etc. staff was super friendly and met all our requests.

We liked everything and can’t wait until we return, perhaps ne t year.

We loved the restaurant terrace and the view of the valley. We also thought the beds were very comfortable. The cappuccinos at breakfast were a nice touch.

The upstairs twin bedroom was unusable because it was so hot. I imagine during the summer it is completely unusable. There are no windows and the property does not provide a fan. My 17-year-old, 6 foot 4 son had to sleep on the couch in our room because he could not use the room upstairs due to the heat. The other twin bed actually had hairs all over it when we arrived. We were able to change the sheets but my daughter was very grossed out. Additionally the shower didn’t work well for two days. They did fix it but it took a little while. Also, there were no toiletries provided, except for a teeny tiny hand soap that we had to make last a family of four for four days. The breakfast was extremely limited. No eggs, no bacon, no cereal, no yogurt, no pastries. We decided to forgo the free breakfast the last two days and eat out because it just wasn’t sufficient. Overall, of the five places we stayed in Germany, this was our least favorite (and most expensive).
