"A pleasant base for an enjoyable weekend away."

8.0

Lovely old farmhouse. Hosts very helpful. Comfortable bed. A super power shower. Excellent home cooked breakfast. Ideally location for visiting national trust property.

A little chilly in bedroom prior to heating switching on but soon warms up once it kicks in.

"Thoroughly enjoyable and we’d love to stay there again!"

10.0

Great breakfast we looked forward to each day, lovely spacious room and bathroom, and lovely welcoming hosts - and dogs! The location, in East Stour, tucked away on a quiet lane, was a good base for exploring, and within 5 miles of the beautiful historical town of Shaftesbury.

Bit of a shock to have no curtains in the bathroom, but soon got used to it once we’d checked we weren’t overlooked. In fact, it was rather nice at night to sit on the loo looking at the stars!

"A lovely, comfortable and convenient stay with a friendly and accommodating host."

9.0

A lovely, welcoming host. A clean a generously sized room and bathroom with a fantastic shower. Comfortable bed, with fresh and clean linen. Really easy to recommend a stay at Church Farm. It was ideally located for my work trip.

It would have been nice to have an EV charger for my overnight parking. Not a deal-breaker though.

"Exceptional"

9.0

As other reviews say, spacious, bright and airy bedroom with huge bathroom - photos don't do it justice! Quiet location, lovely home. Friendly but unobtrusive hosts, make you feel welcome and comfortable.

Option to have a later breakfast and later checkout time, e.g. 11am would be appreciated, especially at weekend.

Breakfast was superb. Quality was top class, along with choice and it was probably one of the best cups of tea we’ve had in ages!

"Lovely farmhouse stay"

10.0

Karen is a kind and considerate host in this gorgeous period farmhouse. Our room and bathroom were luxurious. Only the best bedding and huge fluffy towels. We were lucky to find this place exactly on national cycle route 25. Our bikes were secure, we were cozy and we were well set up for the next day with an excellent breakfast.

Nothing, it could only be better if we had stayed longer.

"Great place for a peaceful night's sleep."

9.0

The bed is very comfortable and both the bedroom and ensuite bathroom are spacious. Shower gel is also provided. There is plenty of hanging space and drawers for clothes if you are contemplating a longer stay. The host, Karen, is lovely, very friendly and she provides an excellent cooked breakfast. Church Farm is in an excellent position, just off the A30 and a short drive from a great pub where one can get an evening meal without having to venture too far.

A bottle of water and glasses in the room would have been a welcome addition - and possibly some soap by the wash basin. We had our own so this wasn't a great problem for us but it is always a nice touch and appreciated when it is provided.
