Ponders End

David and Agnes were lovely hosts. Everything was clean. We slept well. Full English breakfasts were excellent. The room wasn't very big, but we could fit in it. The toilet is across the hall.

The downside was that the room didn't have a sink, but we didn't really mind.

Ample off road parking; A warm welcome; Spacious en-suite bedroom with t/c facilities, large tv, fridge with milk, water and orange juice provided; Lovely breakfast; Easy 10ish min walk into Newport centre.

Main road is noisy so had to keep windows closed at night, although a fan is provided in the room. En-suite is small but adequate; shower is good.

Very comfortable stay

Very comfortable bed and room, including small fridge and milk provided! Breakfast on our 2nd morning (Monday) was very good.

Unfortunately we had to cancel the Sunday morning breakfast as 8:00 was too early for us. Not a problem as we preferred a lie in after a late night and had brunch in a cafe, but just stated to warn others who might expect a later breakfast on a Sunday!

The host Agnes was amazing warm friendly and couldn't do more for you, very accommodating in every way and passionate about her business. Loved the fact that parking was safe and had plenty of space. Breakfast is great, there's kettles and tea coffee biscuits in the room with a fridge with fresh milk and orange juice. Everything was clean and tidy with personal touches from the owners. There's a garden you can sit in with chairs and a gazebo. We would certainly return to this venue it's excellent value for money. The location means everything on the island is only a maximum of 30 minutes away, and you can walk into the town in ten minutes

That it wasn't clear when booking that room 3 has a shower in the room but the toilet and sink were across the corridor it is for the rooms sole use but it should be made clear on the booking.com site. Room 1&2 are fully on suite which we would have preferred.
