Beautiful grounds and nice clean room

Bed was really hard and service wasn't great in the restaurant for our evening meal

Didn't eat breakfast it shut before we were ready

loved the golf course, but the staff at the hotel were not helpful at all. The hotel was totally empty and we had to check out at 10:30am. I've never heard of such a check out time. I asked for a one hour extension which they could not accommodate....even with an empty hotel which had empty rooms on the same floor with the doors open. really????

We stayed one night in the Maidens Tower, within the castle itself. The bathroom and products were very good. The bedroom was double aspect, very clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast on site and both were very nice and reasonable value. As a staying guest there’s free access to the grounds and castle itself. Parking is free and convenient. 24 hour security on site.

The shower over the bath has my pet hate…a shower curtain which loves to cling to you! When closed the showering space is quite restricted. There are maps available showing various routes of walks around the grounds, it would help if there were coloured indicators around the grounds showing the routes. No staff members we asked were able to guide us.
