Irma and Diego are very friendly hosts. Our room with the warm fluffy sheets was private and the shared bathroom was very nice. We normally stay away from shared bathrooms but it was not a problem. Nice room upstairs to hang out and play cards. Breakfast was wonderful. Walking distance to everything. The recommended day trip on a local bus to Guano was a highlight for us. We went to the city museum and met Baltizar -The last iceman. We had watched his video on YouTube so we were happily surprised to meet him in person. Irma also recommend Anita's Hornado restaurant. It was very good and a wonderful local experience.

We came to Guamote to see the markets and stayed in this lovely hotel As the Guamote is small, it's easy to walk from the hotel to everything. The room was good, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower worked well, and we were very content with what we got. There was good WiFi throughout the hotel. The downstairs area had plenty of places to sit and relax, and the staff were very accommodating. There is another quite expensive hotel in the town but I think we picked the best one.

We had a room facing the main road and was really nice apart from the night before the market. On that night , there was a lot of traffic and it was quite noisy. However, the rest of the rooms are not facing the road, so I guess you would simply have to ask for one of those rooms.

Great hospitality in a nicely decorated lodge/home. Good hot water. Nice breakfast. (They had black tea!) Comfortable bed. Uphill but easy walk (less than 10 minutes) from where busses stop on Pan-American Highway.

We could have lunch there/at home and good coffee. Very nice to see indigenous people in town, but even better in alausi.

evening was okay, then It was absolutely freezing cold. It was so cold I couldn't even brush my teeth in the morning. Lighting was poor in room too . Whole building was freezing. Pizza was way way overpriced, as was the hot chocolate. Don't go to this city unless you want to go to the Thursday market and even then I recommend not staying overnight because the accommodation is way way overpriced.

Good location. Kitchen available to use. Good attendance.

Drafty and noisy rooms (thin walls).

Susana, the Host was very kind and helpfull. and also a wonderfull Cook. We enjoyed our eveningdinner two days in a row. It was a delightfull and Healthy meal -3 courses. We would recommand everybody to stay in this real Ecuadorian hostel. Besides that, the village with its real ecuadorian market (including animals) is worth a visit. A Must See ‚hospedaje‘!

Comfortable bed and nice personnel. The stove in the common area looked cozy, but I didn't actually spent much time there.

It's super cold and a little loud, as there are spaces between the walls and the windows. Also the door of the room didn't properly close. The food was very mediocre and too expensive for what it was. Bring food with you, as there are no good restaurant options in town.

Room with good beds. Hot shower using an electric shower head (Brazil style).

Very noisy in the morning when there is market day. No sound isolation to the street and very little thermal isolation.
