The Fisherman's Snug self catering North Uist

The Fishermans snug exceeded my expectations and requirements in every way. I was travelling for work and had undergone a long journey, so needed somewhere quiet and relaxing. The owner was extremely nice and went out of her way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Lots of cereal, bread, eggs and fruit were provided to ensure I was well fed!

Nothing. all was excellent.

The quality, variety and quantity of the breakfast exceeded expectations. Absolutely delicious range of foods and to suit all dietary needs. Indeed to B&B owner went above and beyond in ensuring our needs were met, including cooking some chicken for our pooches and dropping off some ice for my evening g&t. Lovely. Moreover, the selection on offer was fabulous and more than adequate for us, even providing delicious sandwiches and snacks when out exploring for the day. Ann is a fabulous, warm, friendly and generous host! The location provides a great base for getting around the Uist Islands. The Snug is very comfortable and we loved everything about it , including the sympathetic decorations, which represents wonderfully a ‘Fisherman’s Snug’. There is fabulous bathroom, with bath and shower, and plenty of clean towels, and the bed was comfy. We really liked Ann’s reassurance that we relax and treat our time there as a home from home! This is lovely to hear, especially when travelling with 2 small ish dogs. I could go on but hopefully this review will help others decide whether the Snug is right for them. But don’t hesitate in booking! We will return!

Initially, I would have said a cooker hob or small convection oven. But this didn’t prove necessary as Ann was more than willing to accommodate our needs, which only extended to cooking a bit of chicken for the dogs!! So there wasn’t anything that we didn’t like…..

Wow what an amazing place, the facilities and what was provided, amazing!, Ann is the perfect host for the communication before arriving to her welcome, the housenitself and even a call after to make sure everything was OK, perfect

Ann was an exceptional host, genuinely concerned about our every need, lots of information on what to visit and a terrrific choice of items for breakfast. If we visit the Outer Hebrides again, we will definitely book the Fishermen's Snug.

Everything about "The Fisherman's Snug" was absolutely amazing..from the huge packed " breakfast" basket and fully stocked fridge, to the stunningly decorated and furnished snug..IT..WAS..INCREDIBLE 💕💕

We didn't like leaving!! Personally, I could have stayed there for a month to recharge the batteries, and just let life pass me by! What a beautiful peaceful and restful place to stay! 💕

Fabulous accommodation, very welcoming host with a fabulous beach very nearby and best breakfast basket ever!

The snug was so clean and welcoming with a huge hamper of goodies waiting for us. Anne and Donald went above and beyond with everything they provided - milk, juices, cheeses, breads, butter, porridge, biscuits, wine, binoculars, guide books……. We were holidaying with our dog Bruno who was exceptionally welcome and also got his own biscuits and a toy! We felt truly spoiled and after a day out exploring North Uist we came home to find all our dishes had been washed and a couple of rather LARGE gins waiting for us. To anyone thinking of booking - do not hesitate, we cannot recommend it enough. ❤️

There was nothing we didn’t like and nothing we would change.

I loved everything. The little studio was so clean , beautifully decorated. Comfortable and has a generous breakfast basket ( see photo) provided by Ann the lovely host.

Not a problem but use the name of the property in your sat nav and you’ll find it. There is a little cabin up the same driveway. It’s not that one. It’s attached to the main white house.
