The Fisherman's Snug self catering North Uist

Great attention had been paid to every aspect of the accommodation. It was very comfortable and the location was marvellous and extremely peaceful.

Ann was a superb host and kept in touch throughout my stay to make sure I had everything I needed. The living area/kitchen and ding part is the only 'snug' - plenty of space when the weather was as great as it was, with a choice of two locations in the garden to sit. The bedroom and bathroom (with a bath as well as a shower cubicle) were a good size and everything was finished to a high standard. It's in a great part of North Uist, close to a beach that you'd be hard-pushed to find anyone else on

As you have been told by the host, this is now an apartment, not a b & b. It is beautifully presented with very good facilities & appliances. A good location for driving to places of interest. A fabulous area for anyone interested in birds. The host is very friendly with lots of local knowledge & is able to give information on things to do, places to eat, local shops, etc.

Really cosy accommodation, super clean and comfortable, very quiet and peaceful and very well equipped for self-catering, with great attention to details. Lovely spot on the island near a beach. We also really enjoyed meeting Ann, who was very friendly and helpful. Our puppy labrador felt very welcome as well, with plenty of treats left for him (and towels which proved very helpful)! Highly recommended - It felt like home from home!

Immaculately presented, well equipped with a fabulous hostess-Ann. She made us so welcome and our dog… treats for him as well as us! She also asked for feedback on how to make the guest experience better!

A little guide would have been welcome and possibly some dog walk suggestions ( not a dislike just a thought to improve a super place to stay.

The big sky views all around the spacious Fisherman's Snug are wonderful and great for bird spotting. The accommodation has a separate room with a kitchen, dining table and sofa and TV - all very comfortable. And the bathroom had a large new bath as well as a shower.

Our host, Ann, could not have been more welcoming and helpful, even coming to rescue us when we got lost on the way to the beach. The kitchen was newly fitted and was great, the bathroom had a shower and a big bath which we took advantage of. The surroundings were very peaceful and it was an ideal place to explore North Uist. I expect it would be a good opportunity to see the Northern Lights when the conditions are right.

Nothing, I would recommend Ann and The Snug to all.

Very cosy and pretty accommodation with lots of nice local crafts for decoration. Ann was lovely - very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed staying there so much! Good location near shop and petrol pump. Nice view from the house.
