The Cedars

We received a very warm welcome from Helen who showed us the room and explained the facilities. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep as the room was very quiet. The bathroom was well equipped with plenty of towels and toiletries. The beverage tray was well stocked with various teas and coffee options.

The television set up takes a little navigating and could be difficult to operate for some guests.

Everything was just perfect, Helen was the perfect host, everything thought out well and was prepared for every eventuality, very nice quiet location ,room was absolutely spot on ,would definitely recommend to anyone,thankyou Helen

the room is really great: large, clean with your own bathroam. the owners are very nice and responsive. the lady kindly dropped me at the train station. the area seems safe

-i prefer if the room has its own lock but the place is safe -i got lost first day, maybe a larger sign outside will be helpful

This is a brilliant place. Wonderful welcome. Plenty of parking space. A super-comfortable, spacious, room with a modern en-suite walk in shower. Tea/coffee and even a Lindt chocolate (I greedily scrounged a second!). Everything about The Cedars says "quality" and the helpfulness, friendliness and generosity of Helen and her family top it off wonderfully. Sadly I had to leave early, so didn't try the optional breakfast, but, given the quality of everything else, I just know that it would have been excellent. On the owners' recommendation, however, I had a superb evening meal in the nearby Onslow Arms, which is well worth a visit.
