Cute cottage in rural farming location - clean and very friendly hospitable owners offering use of their living room for our comfort.

Spacious room and bathroom but sloping ceiling of the attic made for challenging movement around bed and no shower with only a bath tub under the eaves.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns alle sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles sehr gemütlich und das Frühstück sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Selten so eine netten und bemühten Gastgeber gehabt.. wir waren traurig,nur eine Nacht bleiben zu können. Die Zimmer haben alles, was man benötigt..sogar ein Kühlschrank war vorhanden. Der Pfau hat zur Begeisterung meiner Kinder sogar zum Fenster herein geschaut. Wunderschöne ländliche Lage. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Etwas abseits an einer nicht mehr ganz so gut erhaltenen Straße, aber trotzdem sehr zentral in der Nähe von dartmoor gelegen. Wir sind gut angekommen. Einfach zu finden.

"I was walking the Dartmoor Way and Heathergate provide the perfect break"

The welcome by Angela was very cheerful and friendly. The room I occupied was spacious with a view over Lydford to the moor. There was even a peacock looking through the window when I got up.

Everything was up to my expectations

The room was charming with a touch of quirky character, in the best way. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a delightful welcome team of friendly (not jump up at you) dogs and wandering peacocks. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, the location is peaceful and serene, with only the sounds of nature to break the silence. It's truly relaxing with a view of rolling hills and livestock outside. Our host, Angela, was incredibly warm and hospitable, and her breakfast was great with a full on spread of full English, toast, cereal and all the works. I would definitely stay at Heathergate Cottage again.

Friendly owner. Lovely breakfast. Gave lots of helpfull information about where to go the next day.

Attic room was advertised as " budget " so I suppose I can't complain.Expensive for what it was. It was a bit dated & had very creaky floors so worried about guests below us. Bed comfy and slept well so not bad really.
