Very quiet, clean. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Good beer and lovely food. Lovely big towels and fridge in room to keep fresh milk and water cold.

There was a clear determination that food should be served piping hot - perfect for some no doubt, but would have preferred meat items (sausages, bacon, liver) to be less well cooked and hence less dry

Location. It is super cute and the pub is nice. The bed was comfy and surprisingly enough space

The tea and the coffee maker could've done with a good scrub

Rustic old pub, lovely log fires, a decent evening meal and happy to see that the kitchen did not close until 8.30pm (just after our arrival) even though we were the only ones in the bar at that time.

When we arrived, the guest room was cold, although the excuse given was that the thermostat was in the bar which was quite warm. Antiquated shower plumbing over the bath which even though I accidently pressed it to get water out of the taps, I couldn't get it back into shower mode until the morning, meaning my son had to crouch under the bath taps to have his evening shower. Breakfast was just so-so with strange choice of options (cereals OR cooked breakfast for example) and the fried eggs looking as if they had been scraped off the no-longer non-stick frying pan...

Lovely venue in a very picturesque village. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The pub had a real community feel. The breakfasts and the food in the pub were very much enjoyed. The rooms were very comfortable and it was really quiet overnight with only birdsong to wake you up in the morning!

Not the property’s issue but the situation is not very well linked to public transport so car or cab necessary from train station (Tisbury etc) but the hosts kindly provided a list of reliable cab companies.
