The Old Post House

A warm, welcoming, comfortable B&B in a beautiful English village. Easy parking which meant I could just dump the car and explore.

No downsides I encountered

Lovely friendly welcome. Excellent bedroom and bathroom Good breakfast.

Nothing really. Full length mirror in bathroom would have been nice but not essential.

Greeted by host when we arrived. Explained room, facilities, village and breakfast arrangements. Recommended excellent location for supper ~ Red Lion at Thornley.

Comfort ~ especially the sofa for reading.

Beautiful old house, lovely little village and surrounding countryside

Breakfast provided in room. Cereals, pastries and fruit but was a bit sad to be eating at the desk in the room instead of downstairs with the rest of our family together. Not sure if it was stated in further destruction details when booking but as it’s called a B&B traditionally breakfast would be provided downstairs and usually something we really look forward to when staying at a B&B.

Great proximity to M6/A14. Off road car park. Perfect hosts. Tasty breakfast in room.

Fold up chairs rather than stools in bedroom?

Very warm and welcoming on a chilly evening. Lovely room, lovely welcome, good parking, excellent location. Good value. We would certainly stay again.

Lack of ventilation in the bathroom.
