Breakfast was cooked perfectly Friendly and helpful staff, a comfortable bed, so we had a good night's sleep

Sorry to say that the Decoration is looking a bit tired. A was a bit of a nostalgia trip and no real complaints for price paid

"Wonderful weekend"

We arrived early, popped in to say we were there & heading down town, our rooms were ready so we were checked in, thank you 😊 A double & single next to each other, both spotlessly clean, ample room for a weekend away, tea,coffee, decaf coffee 🎉 biscuits & toiletries. Beds were comfortable, good selection of drinks in the bar & pool table, breakfast was great, cooked to request, crispy bacon 😊So friendly & welcoming we will book here again for next years fireworks. One street off the sea front, on street parking outside the hotel. 3 min stroll to tram stop, 2 stops from North Pier, out of the hubble bubble, perfect for us. Saving tip: purchase tram tickets on app, all day travel £12 for 3 of us, £18 when purchased on board. Thank you for a lovely stay.

If you aren't accustomed there is noise from passing traffic, however it was the finale fireworks display & incredibly busy!

"We had a brilliant stay."

Easy to find and in walking distance from the train station/town centre. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and both myself and my friend felt safe. The room and en-suite itself were clean and big enough for a 1 night stay.

Can't fault our stay at all. Brilliant communication balloons was put in room for grandson birthday . Staff was amazing and Friendly the bar was well stocked and cheap . Definitely will return

At first I did not fill this section in, I just rated the hotel poor even though I was disappointed with our room. I have since received this message off the owner, which I feel is very offensive and untrue. This is the message- When I saw that you were old and unsteady, I swoped your room from a twin on the 2nd floor to a family of 4 on the lower ground floor, which had the 2 single beds you booked plus a king size double, this room sells for £120 a night, you paid £80. You arrive 2 hours.20 minutes early but we still let you have the room. You used the double bed and a single and you were the last to leave, and you think that £80 is bad value for money Firstly we are not old and unsteady and if we was how does he think by putting us in a basement room down steps with very little light helps! I also I feel this is so rude to send me a message and say this, this is very offensive. We were also never told our room had been swapped for this reason, I just questioned that we only booked a twin room and he replied there is twin beds in there. There was only a small window in the room, you could not reach to open or see through. The room was cold and smelt musky. Also how he has said we arrived early. We did however never actually asked if we could have our room early, we just went in to see if where we had parked our car was ok. I also don’t know what the problem was with the fact we left at 10am, the time stated we could stay till but “We were the last to leave!” When we were shown to our room, we were asked if we minded having a shower instead of a bath as they were fully booked. I cannot believe I have received a message like I have above when I hadn’t even wrote any comments of why I stated my stay poor. I was very disappointed anyway with the hotel and felt we were given a room we did not book and not for the better. I am now very upset and angry after receiving that message. Do not stay here, they don’t deserve your money if they can be rude like this.
