Garth Engan B&B with private lounge

Joy and Iddon were great hosts - very helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent - quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. Lots of choice too. It was very nice to be looked after each morning. Beautiful patio and gardens. Great location - close to footpaths, restaurants and beaches. We appreciated having the extra space of the living/dining room and bathroom/utility room. Also the little fridge to keep drinks cool. Good shower, lots of hot water. Everything was clean and well presented.

The bed was a bit creaky and not the most comfortable, but it was fine for a short stay. The property is located on a road, but there was very little noise from traffic. Only the occasional vehicle passing. There is a walk from the parking area, down the side of the property, through a gate and round to the back of the property, which means more effort/time involved in unpacking and packing the car. However, these points are just for prospective guest information and we would overall recommend staying at the property. It makes an excellent base for exploring the local area.

Fantastic location for touring North Wales. Very comfortable, breakfast is excellent and above all the hosts were very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Minor criticism and based purely on personal preference, would have liked a slightly firmer bed.

Hospitality,cleanliness, everything was spot on , breakfast was amazing, garden is beautiful to sit in ,bathroom is first class with everything provided, bed is so comfortable, would highly recommend.

Maybe just a little thing ,the small fridge being on the floor is a little awkward to put items in if you suffer with back pain. Also somewhere to put any food items you take with you.

Honestly no criticism it was unbelievable. I just booked it because I wanted an open fireplace but I was disappointed when we couldn’t have it as advertised.

Beautiful country setting. Excellent hosts. Very clean. Great breakfasts.

Close to Barmouth, provided remote cosy cottage with wood burner outdoor patio area.

Nothing to dislike

As always we were greeted and looked after with all the care and attention you could hope for on a trip. The breakfasts are amazing, and the cottage is lovely. A perfect getaway for any couple wanting to get away from a city, but with towns like Porthmadog and Barmouth close enough within a half hour drive, should they be needed.

There is nothing to dislike except coming home after staying in such a lovely place.

The location was perfect. The hosts were exceptional and could not have been more accommodation, we only had a couple of days but they made it very special.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
