Hawthorn Self Catering Cottages

Cosy and welcoming. Well equipped. Good location.

For our family of six we had two accomodation units - the "Barn" and the mobile home. Both were comfortable and well equipped. Barn was more spacious and with a washing machine, but the mobile home had beautiful open view towards the fields and mountains arround. Cottages are located in the quiet green fields not far from the beach, between Oban and Glencoe with lot of spots to visit in the area. The cottages are also well equipped with games and books in case of the bad weather, that we luckily didn't have. And finally, our host Iain was very kind and helpful.

The location was really good, quiet and scenic views. The host was very friendly and accommodative.

The property looked clean but outdated. The carpet and the beds were too old so it looked unclean. The kitchen could do with more utensils.

Quiet location, well equiped house. We had everything we needed.

Beautiful farm setting, sunset so pretty, in harmony with the nature. Host Iain is so friendly and very helpful, he is knowledgeable and obviously knows his business. Wish we had more time to chat. The cottage we stayed was very homey and spotlessly clean. A big pity that we arrived late and left early for our stay, all of us (including our 2 teen children) wanted to stay longer.

Great location. Restaurant next door was amazing. Short walk to beach.

Lots of cobwebs. Only one bedroom made up even though in our pre booking email we instructed 4 adults. Smaller than we thought. No table for us all to eat at together.

Good communication before arriving, friendly host. Bonus of a restaurant on site, and the food was outstanding

This Was the best place we stay in scotland. We loved the peace,the kindness of our host,the house full of everything we need. Really recommendee!
