The Barn Bed and Breakfast

We only stayed for one night, but we had such a lovely stay and would definitely book again. We were made to feel really welcome. We had a nice chat when we checked in, and the host was so friendly throughout our stay. They even offered us a lift to the train station, which was a really kind gesture and really appreciated. The room was a great size and had everything we needed, including a TV and microwave. Breakfast was really good too, with loads of choice – three different cereals, nice yoghurts, breakfast bars, fresh fruit, coffee, flavoured teas and hot chocolate. Overall, a really friendly and welcoming place to stay. We'd happily come back!

Perfect location for my business trip to Liverpool, peaceful with the odd plane flying over but I oddly enjoy that and if you want a stopover before heading to the airport it’s ideal. Spotlessly clean, a warm welcome, secure parking, great facilities in the room including a pre prepped ‘help yourself’ breakfast means you have every you need. Having a terrace outside each room means there is another place to relax - I ate my breakfast and dinner there surrounded by a variety of plants. Having access to a field too with additional seating was great. I will definitely be back!

The location was superb. It is located right outside the quaint small Village of Hale and only 15-20 minute scenic drive to the city center of Liverpool. The room and accommodations were excellent. The farm is absolutely adorable and the owners were extremely, friendly, gave great recommendations for dining and sight seeing choices locally as well as in Liverpool.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property. Easy to find, parking is very close to the room and very quiet. It over delivered on all our expectations.

What we particularly loved was the peaceful rural location combined with excellent connections to Liverpool city centre. It was the perfect balance between relaxing in the countryside and enjoying everything the city has to offer. The rooms were beautifully decorated in keeping with the rural character of the property. Unlike many B&Bs or hotels that are designed purely with practicality in mind, the furnishings and décor contributed greatly to the warm and welcoming atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience. Breakfast provisions were thoughtfully provided in the room, including fresh fruit, fresh milk, cereal, and yoghurt. The room also had a fridge, which made it easy to store any additional food and drinks we purchased ourselves. We particularly appreciated having a microwave and a kettle for making tea, along with a regular supply of tea bags and complimentary instant coffee. There are several lovely restaurants and convenient shopping facilities nearby. Another highlight of our stay was the alpacas in the barn, which were the first thing we saw when stepping outside in the morning. They added even more charm to the wonderful countryside atmosphere. Above all, the friendly and welcoming hosts made us feel at home and contributed greatly to a wonderful stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this accommodation.

There was honestly nothing we disliked about our stay. Everything met or exceeded our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
